On 16–17 December in Warsaw, RBE – Romgos Bio Energia took part in the 10th Biogas and Biomethane Congress, organised by Magazyn Biomasa. The event served as an important platform for dialogue between representatives of the biogas and biomethane sector, public administration and local authorities.
Our participation in the Congress provided valuable insight into the current state of the biomethane market in Poland and the key challenges facing its further development. Discussions focused not only on technological solutions, but also on the quality of the investment process itself — including administrative procedures, environmental permitting and effective communication with local communities.
The debates confirmed that while interest in biomethane projects continues to grow, the pace of their implementation largely depends on the efficiency and predictability of administrative processes, particularly environmental proceedings and spatial-planning decisions. These areas require greater standardisation as well as close cooperation between investors, local authorities and public institutions.
As emphasised by Przemysław Białas, CEO of RBE – Romgos Bio Energia:
“Participation in the Congress is an important element of our responsible approach to the development of the biogas and biomethane sector. We focus not only on technology, but also on the quality of the entire investment process — transparent communication, dialogue with local communities and long-term benefits for energy security and the circular economy.”
The Congress enabled us to gather practical insights and conclusions that will support our ongoing and future biomethane projects. We believe that the sustainable growth of this market requires not only ambitious investment plans, but also stable regulatory frameworks and a mature approach to stakeholder engagement.
