The agreement goal is to support the biogas and biomethane sector development in Poland. It also constitutes platform for cooperation among various stakeholders with a focus on improving national economic, environmental, technological, energy and social benefits. It’s also an opportunity to create a competitive predominance of Polish entrepreneurs based on modern, zero-emission technologies.
“Biogas and biomethane production is crucial in the transformation towards a low-carbon economy. Therefore, I am pleased that as a company we have joined such an important initiative. Cooperating in working groups, exchanging experiences and implementing projects is a step towards the development of this industry,” says Przemysław Bialas, CEO.
The Sector Agreement was initiated by the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The parties to the Agreement are government representatives: Minister of Climate and Environment, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment, Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Science, Government Plenipotentiary for Reforming the Functioning of Research Institutes, as well as representatives of investors, entities participating in the supply chain for the biogas and biomethane sector, business environment organizations, financial and insurance institutions, and representatives of the scientific community.
