On January 27-28, 2025, we visited a biomethane plant in Estonia, where we had the opportunity to explore the latest technologies used in biogas and biomethane production. During the visit, we learned about the key processes that enable the use of biomethane to produce clean energy, which is an important element in the development of sustainable energy.
What else did we see?
- Meeting with EKT ECOBIO – During the meeting with representatives of EKT ECOBIO, we discussed the legal regulations and trends in the development of the biomethane sector in Estonia. The discussion focused on the potential for biomethane development as a crucial element in the energy transformation.
- Visit to the Transport Facility in Tallinn – In Estonia, public transport is already powered by biofuels, representing an important step toward eco-friendly transportation solutions. We learned about the innovative approach to using biofuels in daily urban mobility.
- Educational Materials – During the visit, we recorded additional educational videos that will be available on our YouTube channel. We aim to share the knowledge gained about biomethane and its role in the transformation of the energy sector.
Summary
Thanks to the meetings organized by Biovoima, our visit was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and expand our knowledge about biomethane and its role in sustainable energy. We believe that further development of this technology is an important step toward more ecological and efficient energy production. Initiatives like this help build a more sustainable energy system worldwide.
