On March 26-27, 2025, a delegation from Poland, consisting of representatives from the Ministry of Climate and Environment, local government officials from six municipalities, and employees of Romgos Bio Energia, had the opportunity to participate in a study visit to Denmark, organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize participants with the Danish model of biogas and biomethane production, which could serve as an inspiration for implementing similar solutions in Poland.
Romgos Bio Energia, as an active participant in the trip, plays a key role in the development of the biomethane market in Poland. The company is involved in the construction of new biogas plants and is working on obtaining environmental impact assessments for several dozen locations across the country. In 2024, Romgos Bio Energia signed a letter of intent with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark, underscoring its commitment to the development of the biogas and biomethane sector in Poland.
During the intensive two-day visit, the delegates toured modern biomethane plants and participated in meetings with experts who presented the technological and economic aspects of the Danish biogas production model. Visits to facilities such as Kalundborg Bioenergi, Nature Energy Midtfyn, and Solrød Biogas provided an opportunity for experience exchange and the analysis of the potential for adapting this model in Polish municipalities.
The study visit was an excellent opportunity to gather valuable information about sustainable energy development, which can support local development in municipalities and contribute to building a more ecological and energy-efficient future in Poland.
Together with local governments and the business sector, Romgos Bio Energia will continue its efforts to develop biomethane in Poland, contributing to the acceleration of the green transformation in the country.
